MYCP RECRUITMENT INFORMATION
OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS
At MYCP, we value diversity, integrity, reliability, and passion. These are the values which drive our recruitment process. We encourage everyone, regardless of status, nationality, gender, religion, disability, or otherwise, to apply. We want the best, motivated and committed person in every role. Our recruitment process always strives to be fair, open and accessible to all, and is the same across positions.
STEP 1: APPLICATION FORM
For every applicant, a full and complete application form for the desired position must be completed. Each form, as standard, collects:
Personal Information (i.e., name, email, residence information)
Motivation/Personal Statement
Information about your previous experiences
Additional questions/information may vary depending on the role/level applied for. All applications must also be submitted in English, as the working language of MYCP.
Applications for more than one position are accepted.
STEP 2: SHORTLISTING
Every application is then reviewed by a human member of our recruitment panel based on the information submitted, and given a score. Points are accumulated through an assessment only of the motivation/personal statement, and previous experience. No consideration of personal information or protected characteristics determine the score.
The scores are out of 7, and are based on the following criteria.
1 The candidate demonstrates no motivation for the position, with no positive evidence of suitability
2 The candidate minimally demonstrates motivation for the position, with limited positive evidence of suitability
3 The candidate moderately demonstrates motivation for the position, with moderate positive evidence of suitability
4 The candidate acceptably demonstrates motivation for the position, with adequate positive evidence of suitability
5 The candidate well demonstrates motivation for the position, with substantial positive evidence of suitability
6 The candidate strongly demonstrates motivation for the position, with substantial positive evidence of suitability, including some evidence of exceeding expectations
7 The candidate outstandingly demonstrates motivation for the position, with excellent positive evidence of suitability, wholly exceeding expectations at this level
Candidates who do not meet the minimum eligibility criteria are not scored. The minimum pass mark is 4.
STEP 3: INTERVIEW
Candidates who receive the highest scores at shortlisting are then invited to a panel interview. At the interview, all candidates are asked about their experience, motivation and commitment to the role and MYCP. Candidates are independently graded by the panel, who produce a collective score.
The score out of 5 is based on the following criteria.
1 Applicant meets a limited amount of the requirements
Applicant shows little enthusiasm or passion, and does not provide positive evidence of experience, working well in a team, taking ownership and reliability.
2 Applicant meets a moderate amount of the requirements
Applicant shows a moderate amount of enthusiasm or passion, and provides some positive evidence of experience, working well in a team, taking ownership and reliability.
3 Applicant meets a good amount of the requirements
Applicant shows a good amount of enthusiasm or passion, and provides good positive evidence of experience, working well in a team, taking ownership and reliability.
4 Applicant meets a strong amount of the requirements
Applicant shows a strong amount of enthusiasm or passion, and provides very good positive evidence of experience, working well in a team, taking ownership and reliability.
5 Applicant meets an excellent amount of the requirements

Interviews are designed as an open and honest space to demonstrate suitability for the role and motivation. It is recommended to use the STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) method when discussing previous experience.
There is no “ideal” experience, we look for positive evidence across sectors, roles, and backgrounds. You should re-read the role description to understand what the panel is looking for. We’re primarily interested in getting to know you better, and seeing if you’d be a best fit for the role. Feedback can only be provided to candidates who attended an interview.
STEP 4: APPOINTMENT
Candidates with the highest score will be made an offer first. Once confirmed, your mandate commences and you can get started!
Candidates might be offered a different position to the one they applied for based on the feedback from the Interview Panel.
